Requirements

  • Must be a Swordsman with Job Level 40 or higher.
  • Use all skill points before applying or changing jobs.
  • Visit the testing Knights in order: Andrew → Siracuse → Windsor → Amy → Edmond → Gray.
  • Job Level 50 skips Sir Andrew's item collection (KNIGHT_Q jumps to Sir Siracuse).
  • Any Knight may veto you at the final council if you failed their trial.

Step 1 — Register with Captain Herman

  1. Enter the Prontera Chivalry (prt_in) and talk to Captain Herman at (88, 101).
  2. Choose to apply for the Knight job change when prompted.
  3. If you meet Job Level 40 with no unused skill points, he sets KNIGHT_Q to 1 and quest 9000.
  4. He explains that every testing Knight must approve you before you can join.

Step 2 — Sir Andrew (Loyalty / Items)

  1. Talk to Sir Andrew at (75, 107) for the first trial.
  2. Job Level 50: he skips the item test and sends you directly to Sir Siracuse (KNIGHT_Q 4, quest 9003).
  3. Otherwise he randomly assigns Path A (KNIGHT_Q 2, quest 9001) or Path B (KNIGHT_Q 3, quest 9002).
  4. Bring all six items ×5, turn them in, then proceed to Sir Siracuse.

Step 3 — Sir Siracuse (Knighthood Quiz)

  1. Talk to Sir Siracuse at (71, 91) after completing Andrew's trial.
  2. Answer eight Knight knowledge and conduct questions — one wrong answer fails the quiz (KNIGHT_Q 5).
  3. Retry by choosing to take the test again when KNIGHT_Q is 5.
  4. On success you advance to Sir Windsor (KNIGHT_Q 6, quest 9004).

Step 4 — Sir Windsor (Combat Trial)

  1. Sir Windsor at (79, 94) warps you to job_knt for a three-stage monster hunt.
  2. Enter the Waiting Room and clear each stage within 3 minutes.
  3. Failure (timeout) warps you back to prt_in — retry with Sir Windsor (KNIGHT_Q 7).
  4. Clear all three stages to reach Lady Amy (KNIGHT_Q 8, quest 9007).

Step 5 — Lady Amy (Etiquette Quiz)

  1. Lady Amy at (69, 107) runs a 10-scenario etiquette test worth 10 points each.
  2. Score 100 to pass cleanly; 90 still passes with a warning. Below 90 fails (KNIGHT_Q 9).
  3. Choose answers befitting a courteous Knight — avoid shouting, greed, and rudeness.
  4. On pass, visit Sir Edmond (KNIGHT_Q 10, quest 9009).

Step 6 — Sir Edmond (Patience Test)

  1. Sir Edmond at (70, 99) warps you to job_knt for a reverence trial.
  2. Do not attack any monster for 5 minutes — killing one instantly fails and warps you out.
  3. Wait until the exit warp appears, then return to Sir Gray (KNIGHT_Q 12, quest 9011).
  4. If you were too careless, apologize and retry (KNIGHT_Q 11).

Step 7 — Sir Gray (Final Conversation)

  1. Sir Gray at (87, 92) holds an informal conversation about why you want to be a Knight.
  2. Poor answers accumulate penalty points; too many sends you back as KNIGHT_Q 13 to rethink.
  3. Acceptable scores (0, 5, or 10 penalty) advance to the captain (KNIGHT_Q 14, quest 9012).
  4. There is no formal pass/fail table — choose answers that reflect honor over wealth or haste.

Step 8 — Complete with Captain Herman

  1. Return to Captain Herman with KNIGHT_Q 14 and no unused skill points.
  2. All seven Knights give their evaluation; unanimous approval is required.
  3. He changes your job to Knight and rewards 7 Awakening Potions.

Eight questions — any wrong answer resets you to KNIGHT_Q 5 for a retry.

Sir Gray Conversation

Not a formal quiz — a branching talk about your motives. Penalty points (.@knight_t) accumulate on greedy or short-sighted answers. Pass with 0–10 penalty; 15+ fails (KNIGHT_Q 13).

Rewards

Job change to Blacksmith. Steel reward: 5 if Job Level 48 or below, 30 if Job Level 49 or higher.

  • Visit order: Captain Herman → Sir Andrew → Sir Siracuse → Sir Windsor → Lady Amy → Sir Edmond → Sir Gray → Captain Herman.
  • Job Level 50 skips Andrew's item collection (KNIGHT_Q 4, quest 9003).
  • Sir Siracuse: one wrong quiz answer sets KNIGHT_Q 5 — speak to him again to retry.
  • Sir Windsor: three combat stages in job_knt, 3 minutes each; timeout warps you to prt_in for a retry.
